Susan Susan is Lauren's younger brother. There is a five year age gap between them, so Lauren has acted as Susan's guardian for most of his brother's life. He cares very much for his brother, and as Susan is the last living member of his family, he is determined to keep him alive no matter what This is one of the reasons Lauren is so anxious, and never allows himself to act recklessly.	NPC Illora Tanner Illora is Lauren's mother. She is a wood elf, or Or-tel-quessir, who grew up in a remote village of religious extremists looking to annihilate human civilization. After realizing that maybe the destruction of modern civilization wasn't such a great goal, she ran away and married Lauren's father Danevar. Lauren doesn't know any of his mother's history as she died before passing on any of her knowledge. What he does remember is her kindness, her passion, and her love of gardening.	Danvar Tanner Lauren's human father, who he greatly resembles in appearance. Lauren's father was last seen on the night his mother died and is presumed dead. A reserved individual, Danvar let his actions speak for him. Lauren greatly respected and admired his father, and is still trying to live up to the man's expectations.
